Dolly worked in the computer field for more than 50 years, beginning with the state of Iowa, continuing with the Mason City public school system and North Iowa Area Community College, and ending as a computer-operations manager at Sperry and UNISYS until her retirement in 1990.

She was a longtime member of the Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Mason City, and was active in many church endeavors, including Philoptochos, choir and the annual Greek Festival.

Dolly enjoyed her gardening, flowers and reading. She loved her church, her husband, her children, her family and her friends.

We loved her generous, gracious spirit. We loved her sweet smile and girlish giggle. We miss you, MOM. We will always love you.

Dolly is survived by her daughter, Pamela P. Wingrod of Havertown, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Renee Preftakes of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sisters, Anna Pappageorge of Copperopolis, Calif., and Olympia (Bia) Papafrangos of Albuquerque, N.M., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; nephews, Charles Papafrangos and Phillip Striggles; brother, Theodore Striggles; and husband, James, in 2001.
