Charles City — Barbara Mannetter, 82, of Charles City, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral Services for Barbara Mannetter will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Debra Lincoln of Colwell United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, rural Charles City.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Hauser Funeral Home, and an hour prior to the service on Monday.
Barbara Jean Wilson Mannetter was born August 7, 1930, in White River, S.D., the daughter of David Clarence and Barbara (McNair) Wilson. She graduated from Floyd High School in 1948. On August 8, 1950, she was united in marriage to Agon “Dutch” Mannetter at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Barbara was a devoted farm wife and mother. She was a member of the Colwell Culture Club, and the Colwell United Church of Christ.
Living family members include three children, Nancy (Bill) Ritzman of Charles City, Becky (Rick Larsen) Mannetter of Cedar Rapids, and Judy (Tracy Kuramoto) Mannetter, of Chicago; five grandchildren, Terry (Heather) Ritzman, Amy (Ben) Johnson, and Nathan (Allyson), Ben and Lauren Larsen; and great-grandchildern Nicholas, Bailey, Grady, Jackson, and Riley; and one sister Thelma Iverson of Pierre, South Dakota.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband Agon “Dutch” on December 9, 2010, and siblings, Emmet, Virgal, Melvan, William, Betty, Edna Wilson, Emily Lunn, Lorrine Dickhoff, and Wanda Schmidtke.
