John James Madison Sr., 70, of Fredericktown, Mo. passed away on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the Claru Deville Nursing Center in Fredericktown. He was born on Nov. 13, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of James Allen and Leona Augusta (Mills) Madison. His parents and son, John James Madison Jr., precede him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Madison of Fredericktown; stepdaughter Elizabeth Mays of Lilbourn, Mo.; brother Ralph Madison of Mason City, and granddaughter Danielle Sheppard of Kansas City, Kan. Mr. Madison worked in the kitchen area in restaurants; he enjoyed fishing, collecting stamps and watching TV. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Friday, March 1, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 2, at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Sawyer officiating. Interment will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Fredericktown.
