Phoenix, Ariz. — Cathern Iris Lundquist, beloved wife and mother, born in Mason City, Iowa, on Nov. 13, 1929, passed away peacefully Monday, July 15, 2013.
The daughter of Earl Mason and Edith Viola Whitney, she was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.
She attended Mason City High School and graduated in 1947. She married Keith Lundquist in 1947 and had three children, Becky, Barbara, and Stephen. They relocated to Phoenix in 1959. She retired from Motorola Semiconductor after 35 years of service. Cathern enjoyed crafts, shopping, and collecting but always put her family and her beloved pet, Annie, first.
Cathern is survived by her three children, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 2, at The National Cemetery in Phoenix, 23029 N Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ 85024.
