Fannie Leerhoff, 101 of Allison passed away December 29, 2013 at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison. Fannie was born June 24, 1912 to Jacob and Anna (Garrels) Sluiter in Emden, Germany.
When Fannie was 7 months old, February of 1913, she and her family immigrated to the United States. They traveled on a ship and landed at Baltimore, Maryland. From there they settled in Parkersburg, Iowa. In 1935 Fannie married Clarence Leerhoff at his parents~ home in Parkersburg. The moved to a farm Southeast of Allison and farmed and lived there for 45 years. Then they moved to Parkersburg and lived there until Fannie lost her house in the 2008 tornado. Fannie then moved into the care center. Fannie and Clarence have two children. Alma Kampman (Vernon) of Allison and Anna Mae Hahn (Virgil) of Cedar Falls. Fannie faithfully worship at the Gospel Hall rural Aplington until she moved into the Rehabilitation Center. Fannie loved to play the accordion and sing with her husband, and daughters.
Fannie is survived by two daughters Alma Kampman of Allison and Anna Mae Hahn of Cedar Falls. Four grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Fannie was proceeded by her Husband Clarence, son-in-law Vernon Kampman, son-in-law Virgil Hahn, four brothers Adolph, Grant, Henry, and Warner, and three sisters Margret, Anna and Bena.
Burial will take place at the Hitesville Cemetery in rural Aplington, Iowa
