BERRYVILLE, Ark. —Robert B. Krugler a resident of Berryville, Ark., was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Rockford, Iowa, a son of Clarence William and Elsie Emma (Grover) Krugler. He departed this life Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, in his home in Berryville, at the age of 87 years.

He graduated from Marble Rock High School in Iowa and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Robert “Bob” and Marge farmed from 1950 to 1961 in Iowa. Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, and camping … and after retirement, the couple spent several years, as full time RVers.

On Aug. 27, 1949, Robert was united in marriage with Marjorie Theresa (Hoisington) Krugler who survives him of the home. He is also survived five children, Larry E. Krugler and wife Phyllis of Rogers, Ark., James R. Krugler and wife Debra of Coal City, Ill., Alan L. Krugler of Berryville, Ark., Sharon A. and husband Bradley Johnson of Mountain Home, Ark., and Michael D. Krugler of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loved ones and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elsie Krugler; one brother, Grover Krugler; and one daughter, Karen Kay Krugler.

There will be a family gathering at the home in Berryville at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, with a memorial service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Berryville with Father Shaun Wesley officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Interment of cremains will be in the V.A. Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
