Lillian Shaffer most commonly known as Nan, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 22, 2014, at Franklin General Hospital, Hospice Unit.

One of her dreams in life was to be a missionary and spread Gods love to others, not realizing she has done her own missionary work in her own community.
She always welcomed new friends, never knowing a stranger. She encouraged those who needed encouragement , she shared with everyone her treasures in life, filling lives with warmth and love.

Some of Nan~s greatest joys were working in her garden, attending municipal band concerts, going to the Franklin Count Fair, being present at Hampton-Dumont sporting events and spent many of her days walking about her beautiful town of Hampton.

She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist, and an Ambassador for God.

Left behind to honor her memory were her beloved children; Lillian (Harold) Kunkle of Ankeny, Ruth (Wally) Tapp of Hampton, Tina (Larry-Weasal)Albrecht of Greene, Buddy (Vonda) Shaffer of Mason City.

Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren; Brooke and Shelby Tapp, Tony Johnson, Eli and Tyson Albrecht, Chelsie and (Chad) Ball and Erica and (Nate) Stevens.

Adding a special spark in her life were two lights of her life Michael Johnson and Dallas Ball. Siblings: Arthur Pacheo, Lupe Neff, Simon Pacheco and Belen Pacheco.

She is preceded in death by her mother Sotera Pacheco, brother Alfonso Ochoa, sister Julia (Ochoa) Abril, brother Eddie Pacheco and sister Hilda Ochoa.
