Joel Jung, 48, of Lakewood, Colo., formerly of Charles City, died June 13, 2013, at his residence.
Memorial services for Joel Jung will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Jane Keel of Messiah Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the LeRoy Cemetery at LeRoy, MN.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday an hour prior to the service.
Joel Douglas Jung was born January 26, 1964, at Charles City, the son of Richard and Marcia (Russell) Jung. He received his education at Charles City. Joel worked as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed cooking of all types and liked animals, especially dogs. He will be remembered as a friendly person with a great sense of humor.
Living family members include a daughter, Audrey Brown of Colo.; mother, Marcia (Roger) Jacobs of Charles City; father, Richard (Cheryl) Jung of Padre Island, Tex.; siblings, Shawna (Bill) Ost of Camano Island, Wash., Stephanie (Paul) Faulkes of Oskaloosa and Kip (Caroline) Jung of Floyd; step brother, David (Heppi) Jacobs of Charles City; step sister, Lisa Jacobs of Marion; half-brother, Hunter Jung of Ionia; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
