Jerry L. Weide, age 69, of Mason City, passed away June 30, 2013 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Mason City.
Graveside memorial services for Jerry L. Weide will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday July 11, 2013 at the Belmond Cemetery in Belmond.
Friends may greet the family from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday July 10, 2013 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond.
Jerry Weide the son of Fredrick and Edna Wessels Weide, was born on July 18,1943, in Belmond. He went to Meservey Country School. He had a lifelong passion for truck driving and pony rides. Also loved going to the Mason City Stock Car Races.
Jerry is survived by his children, Sherry (Robert) Nickson, Mason City, Jerry (Roberta) Weide Jr., of Alden, Shelly (Matt) McCauley of Houston, Mo., Jennifer (Eldon) Hauptmann of Garner, Tony Weide of Longview, Tx., Cassie Carpenter of Ft. Dodge, and Krystal (Brandon) Glasgow of Alexander, twenty-three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. three siblings Larry (Diane) Weide of Clear Lake, Sharon (Gerald) Bailey of Belmond, and Davin (Deb) Weide of Mason City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Laura Weide, and three siblings Fred Weide Jr., Garry Weide and Dennis Weide.
