ROCHESTER, Minn. — Donna Mae (Jaspers) Olsen, 85, of Mason City, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Madonna Towers in Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June 9, in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Sean McRoberts officiating.
Visitation will be held in the chapel at First United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m., preceding funeral services. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, 11495 265th St., Mason City.
Donna was born March 17, 1928, in Northwood, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Hazel (Crippen) Jaspers. She moved to Mason City in the 1940s when she was in her 20s.
Donna married Bob Olsen in 1951 at First United Methodist Church in Mason City. Donna nurtured her marriage, family, friends and all her relationships through her activities, hobbies and how she lived each day. She cherished her time spent with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Donna is survived by her two daughters, Jan Shevik and husband, Gary of Rochester, and Nancy Ilbuga of Rochester; grandchildren, Melissa Sahlstrom and husband, Matt, Laurie Arnold and husband, Brian, Brett Shevik and fiancé, Amber, Jennifer Hemmer and husband, Brice, Errol Ilbuga, Erin Ilbuga, Bianca Ilbuga, Beau Ilbuga and Isabel Ilbuga; great-grandchildren, Bennett, Emma and Elliott Sahlstrom, Ava Arnold and Ari’Amora Reynolds; two brothers: Lowell Jaspers and Carl Jaspers Jr.; and one sister, IvaDene Pavlik Reindl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents; one sister and three brothers.
