Geneva — Mary O’Brien, age 62, of Geneva, Iowa, died at her home on Thursday, April 25, 2013.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary Service to follow at 7 p.m. at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa.

Mary Elaine O’Brien was born on July 29, 1950, in Iowa Falls, to Charles and Sylvia (Janssen) Kreimeyer. Mary graduated from Ackley-Geneva High School, Ellsworth Community College, and then Northwest Missouri State. On July 1, 1972, Mary was united in marriage to Michael O’Brien at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Ackley, Iowa. Mary was the Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of North Iowa. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by her husband Michael; two daughters Kelly O’Brien of St. Paul, Minn., and Jill (Rudy) Acevedo of San Antonio, Texas; two sons John O’Brien of Ames, and Matthew O’Brien of Chanhassen, Minn.; two sisters Charleen (Robert) Richtsmeier of Ackley and their children Renee Evans, Dawn Santiago, Aaron (Anne) Jones and Bobby Jo Garza and Kathy (William) Nolte of Dumont and their children Angela, Henry, Abby and Katelyn Nolte and two sisters-in-law Mary Pat Cole of Mason City and her son Tom (Laurie) Gilles and Marianne O’Brien and her children Micki O’Brien and Danielle (Fred) Burton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Randy Kreimeyer; her aunt Edith Harms; her mother and father-in-law William and Kathleen O’Brien and her brother-in-law Colonel Maurice O’Brien.
