Rudd — Sharon Kay Noe, 77, of Rudd, Iowa, passed away on April 22, 2013, at Heritage Care Center in Mason City. Online condolences may be left at www.fullertonfh.com.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the United Methodist Church, 611 6th St, Rudd. The Rev. Wendy Johannesen will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Rock Grove Cemetery in Nora Springs, Iowa.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second St. S.E., Mason City, Iowa.

Sharon Noe was born on Oct. 9, 1935, to George and Violet (Novak) Nelson in Charles City, Iowa. She is from Rudd, originally, but also lived in California, Mason City and Kansas. Sharon was blessed with having found love three times in her life with Eldon Noling, Albert Noe and Tom Nash, who all preceded her in death.
Throughout her life she worked several different jobs. At a young age she was a telephone operator in Rudd. Sharon also worked at several different hotels such as the Holiday Inn and Hanford Inn, waitressing and bartending. She was very proud of the job she had driving semi.
When she wasn’t working she spent her free time volunteering. Sharon was a regular at the nursing homes where she played the keyboard and sang for entertainment. She would bring her grandchildren along to sing for the residents. Sharon loved spending time with her grandchildren. She made them blankets and picture books with newspaper clippings. When the grandchildren visited she always made sure that they helped with planting flowers, especially her favorite which were yellow roses.
She enjoyed couponing and set aside necessary items for her grandchildren to give at Christmas time. Sharon spent the past two years of her life at Heritage Care Center, which became her home. She was known for giving out bags of candy to children and treats to fellow resident’s dogs when they came in to visit. Her personality was very friendly.
Sharon will be remembered for her wonderful cooking such as homemade apple pie, chocolate cake, and chicken and dumplings. She will also be remembered for her beautiful yard which included her gardens and yellow roses. Last but not least, she will be remembered for the caring and loving person that she was.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Reginald Noling and Rebecca Noling; sister, Sandra Johnson; grandchildren, Shawn (Lisa) Noling, Justice (Ashley) Noling, Krystal (Rafael) Rivera, Dennis (Lara) Shepherd, Casey (Amanda) Kennedy, Caley (Ashely) Kennedy, Corey Moore, and Colby Moore; honorary grandchildren, Savanna Jo, Dylon, and Joshua Collings and Lyndsay (Tucker Reams), Robert, Justin, and Peanut Frazer; great-grandchildren, Michael Noling, Brianna Noling, Carter Noling, Cayden Noling, Piper Noling, Emmylee Rivera, Benjamin Rivera, Rafael Rivera III, Marcos Rivera, Angelita Rivera, Jayce Shepherd, Alexandra Kennedy, and Tresaun Kennedy; cousins, Michelle Collings, Kathy Frazer, and Michael (Stacey) Frazer; niece, Jessica Johnson; great-nieces, Jasmin Johnson, Joslyn Johnson, and Danielle Locke; great-nephew, Durell Locke Jr.; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, George and Violet Nelson/Novak; husbands, Eldon Noling and Albert Noe; and significant other, Tom Nash.
