CHARLES CITY — Vera Nauman, 84, of Charles City, died Sunday, August 4, 2013, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services for Vera Nauman will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd. Pastor Martha Bennett will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery at Rudd.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, and Wednesday at the church an hour prior to the service.

Vera Mae Nauman was born April 20, 1929, in Floyd County, the daughter of Emmett Nauman Sr. and Hannah Janssen. She received her education at home. Due to her disability she lived at home until entering the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home.

Living family members include six siblings: Lester Nauman of Floyd, Bernice (Orville) Caspers of Swaledale, Gladys Wandro of Arizona, Paul Nauman of Charles City, Alice (Victor) Klopping of Newton and Ardis Richardson of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers: David Nauman and Emmett Nauman, Jr.

The Hauser Funeral Home, 641-228-2323, in Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.
