Billy Myhre, age 63, of Algona, Iowa died on Thursday August 29, 2013 at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City. Graveside services will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel. Visitation will be 4:00 – 5:00 PM Tuesday at the Lentz Funeral Home in Algona.
Billy Dean Myhre, the son of Melvin and June (Ash) Myhre, was born on May 3, 1950 in Mason City, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Billy is survived by two daughters, Angela (Jared) Isebrand of Bancroft and Misty (Luke) Haag of Algona; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Guy) Langfald of Waterville, MN and Virginia Bendicson of Mississippi; and a brother, James Myhre of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Howard Myhre.
