MASON CITY | Anthony “A.J.” Jon Morales, 36, of Mason City, formerly of Clear Lake, died Monday at home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, with the Dr. Rev. Rhoda Preston officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. After the service he will be cremated and inurnment will be Friday 1 p.m. at the Clear Lake Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to Anthony J. Morales memorial fund.

A.J. was born April 4, 1977, in Mason City, the son of Antonio and Roxane (Rust) Morales.

He grew up in the Clear Lake area. He attended Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge.

He worked for I.M.T. in Garner as a welder and was a member of Teamsters Union 248.

A.J. enjoyed fishing, watching movies, listening to music, driving around but mostly spending time with his children and buddies.

He is survived by his two children Dakota Morales and Ciara Morales, of Iowa Falls; his father Antonio Morales, Fort Worth, Texas; his mother Roxane Balderas, Eagle Grove; sisters Veronica (Luis) Colorado, Eagle Grove, and Misty (Sergio) Padilla, Clear Lake; nieces and nephews Nikolas Padilla, Sofia Padilla, Spencer Morales, Graciela Morales and Diego Morales; many aunts and uncles and a special friend Stanley Thompson, Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
