Gainesville, Mo. — Le Anne Mae (Thovson) Monsen, 78, of Gainesville, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Ozark Medical Center in West Plains, Mo.
A private family service will be planned at a later date.
Le Anne Mae Thovson was born April 30, 1934, in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Gladys Thovson. She married Martin Monsen on April 15, 1956, and to them two sons were born: Tom and Jeff.
Le Anne is survived by sons, Tom (Dee Ann) of Fertile, and Jeff of West Plains, Mo.; sister-in-law, Nancy Thovson of Littleton, Colo.; sister-in-law, Carmen Monsen of Garner; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Ward of Forest City; two granddaughters, Darcy (Adam) Lackore of Leland and Stacy (Tyler) Koeneke of Garner; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Marty Monsen of Gainesville, Mo.; parents, Floyd Thovson and Gladys McCallum; step-father, Mack McCallum; brother, Eldean Thovson of Littleton, Colo.; brother-in-law, Eugene Monsen of Forest City; and father- and mother-in-law, Martin and Bertha Monsen of Forest City.
