David “Dave” McKibban, age 52, of Livermore, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Unity Point Health Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livermore with Rev. Jim Tigges officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Humboldt. Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday with a 7:00 PM Scripture Service at Lentz Funeral Home in Livermore.
David John McKibban, the son of Dale and Theresa (Gales) McKibban, was born on December 5, 1960 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Dave was associated with West Fork Services in Humboldt for the past 30 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dave enjoyed trains, working with his string, watching game shows, jig saw puzzles, word searches, arts & crafts, Light Bright’s, latch hook, dancing to polka music, attending the Polka Fest in Humboldt, singing to country music and participating in civic minded activities.
Left to cherish Dave’s memory are his parents, Dale and Theresa; four siblings, Dan (Karla) McKibban of Humboldt, Lucy McKibban of Humboldt, Nancy McKibban of Livermore and Patrick McKibban of Forest City. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Catherine McKibban.
