Alexander, Iowa — Terry R. Stevens, 49, of Alexander, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013, at his residence as a result of a work-related accident.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 125 East State St., with the Rev. Ron Stein officiating.
Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. A visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today, Monday, March 11, 2013, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Terry R. Stevens Memorial Fund in care of the family.

Terry R. Stevens was born August 29, 1963, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Allen Stevens. He attended and graduated from Mason City High School in 1979. He was married to Jodie Kalahar on May 29, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Mason City.
Terry, a jack-of-all-trades, was a natural engineer who could fix anything and especially had a knack for fabricating and repairing wheelchairs. He was currently employed by United Seating and Mobility and was known by many as the “Wheel Chair Guy.”
Terry was always there to help others, had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and had a positive outlook on life. He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed taking them on many special adventures. Terry had a passion for fishing and was a professional walleye fisherman on Team Crestliner. Terry and Jodie enjoyed many special times fishing in Northern Minnesota together.
He was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church. God was an important part of his everyday life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Jodie Stevens of Alexander; daughters, Katie (Robert) Havig, JoAnna Gobeli, Christina Gaiser, Katie (Justin) Froiland and Kara Gaiser; grandchildren, Ariana, Angel, Tiffany, Xavier, Riley, Jackson, Jordan and Wyatt; father, Allen Stevens; brother, Randy (Theresa) Stevens; mother-in-law, Jeanne Kalahar; and nieces and nephews, Samantha, Elizabeth and Randy Jr. Stevens.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Alex Stevens; grandparents; and father-in-law, Kenneth Kalahar.
