MASON CITY | Glenn L. Kimball, 73, of Mason City died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with the Rev. Tom Dettmer, Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Per Glenn’s request, his body was cremated. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Glenn L. Kimball Memorial Fund. Glenn was born February 3, 1940, in Mason City, the son of Glenn L. and Esther B. (Anderson) Kimball. He graduated from Mason City High School. Glenn was an oil distributor many years and also worked in sales for a building materials company. His last employment was with Corporate Farmer.

He was a car enthusiast and a member of the Street Rod and Corvette Clubs.

Glen is survived by a sister-in-law, Arlys Kimball of Mason City; nephews, Gene Kimball and Charles Ringus; nieces, Cheryl Kimball and Susan Wilt; step-daughter, Diane J. Evans of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Eugene and Vernon “Mug” Kimball; 1 sister, Gladys Ringus.
