WATERTOWN, Wis. — Johanna Von der Linde, 88, of Watertown, Wis., formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the Highland House in Watertown.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., with the Rev. Sean McRoberts of the First United Methodist Church officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Inurnment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Johanna was born Aug. 8, 1924, the daughter of Myron E. and Aletta B. (Anderson) Stephenson. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1942, and continued her education at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. Over the years Johanna lived in Bloomington, Ind., Anderson, Ind., Troy, Ohio, Rome, N.Y., and Paris, Ky., before returning to Mason City in 1966.
Johanna married Wallace Kirsch in 1946, and later married Harold E. Von der Linde on Nov. 27, 1966. Johanna en-joyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed listening to music from the ’30s and ’40s, knitting, car races and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mason City, Women’s Club and Stephens College Alumni Group.
Johanna is survived by three children: Richard Von der Linde and wife, Debbie, of Pewaukee, Wis., Michael Kirsch and wife, Chris, of Watertown, and William “Bill” Von der Linde and wife, RaeLynn, of Des Moines; six grandchildren: Heather Colwell, Brad Kirsch (wife Betsy), Rachel, Kyle, Kade and Kallie Von der Linde; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband in 1965 and her second husband in 2007.
