MASON CITY – Candace L. “Candy” Hauge, 66, of Mason City, Iowa, died Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the I.O.O.F. Home, Mason City, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, Iowa, with Pastor David Byrd, Chaplin of I.OO.F Home, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.
Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. The family suggests memorials to Candy L. Hauge memorial fund.
Candy was born on Sept. 28, 1946, in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Robert and Pearl (Milkie) Kamm. She graduated from Norwalk High School, Norwalk, California, in 1964.
Candy married Ronald Hauge, July 10, 1965, in Norwalk, California. In 1971, they moved to Mason City. She worked at Country Kitchen and later did home day care. She then worked at Hardees, Fashion Bug, Shirley’s Attic, and Pies and More in Mason City.
Candy enjoyed fishing, sewing, being home, and bowling and belonged to many leagues. She was a member of Mason City and California V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Candy is survived by her son, David (Amy) Hauge, Johnston, Iowa; four grandchildren: David (Hailey) Hauge Jr., Ogden, Iowa, Briana (Kevin) Stewart, Ankeny, Iowa, Zachary Boehmer, Mason City, Iowa, and Nicholas Hauge, Mason City, Iowa; and two great grandchildren: Lillian Hauge, Ogden, Iowa, and Carson Stewart, Ankeny, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron Hauge, and son Tim Hauge.
