GARNER – Lil Lane “Lannie” Hartema, 66, of Garner died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 4 P.M., Saturday, February 23rd at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel, 160 E. 4th St., in Garner with a memorial service to immediately follow with Rev. Ed Bard, Hospice Chaplain, officiating.

Memorials may be directed to the Lil Lane “Lannie” Hartema Memorial Fund.

Lil Lane Kay Hartema, the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Weir) Adkisson, was born October 12, 1946 at Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School in 1964. She was married to Kenneth Regan and to this union five children were born. They later divorced. Lanni lived in Waterloo where she raised her children. In 1976 she moved with her children to a farm near Nora Springs and worked in Mason City at Kozy Korner and Pies & More. In 1995 she moved to Garner and was employed at Casey~s General Store until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, gardening, puzzles and playing pogo on the computer.

Lannie is survived by her children, Jeff Regan, Sr. of Lugoff, SC, Angela (Gerry) Meier of Garner, Todd Regan of Mason City, Mary Peterson of Garner and Christine (Kent) Anderson of Garner; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters and brothers, Judy Betts of Orlando, FL, Randy Miller of Waverly, Lynn (Morris) Jacobs of Lahaina, HI, Scott Adkisson of Waterloo and Lisa (Gary) Brandau of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and a grandson, Justin Meier.
