GREENE | Funeral Services for Ronald Jerome Lauber, 73, of Greene, will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church in Greene with Pastor Jennifer Suydam officiating.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene.
Visitation will be Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the service time.
Ronald J. Lauber was born in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, September 11, 1940, to Harry and Alma (Walker) Lauber, and died Thursday, March 27, 2014, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
He attended Waterloo public schools.
On February 14, 1959, Ronald was united in marriage to Marlene G. Kingery at the First Presbyterian Church in Greene.
This union was blessed with three children.
Ron worked for 17½ years at Oliver/White Farm, for Top Air in Parkersburg and The Round Grove Country Club in Greene.
He owned and operated Ron’s Bait Shop in Greene for 8 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching NASCAR races and his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Ron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marlene; one daughter: Rae Jean (Bob) Ulrichs and their children Brian (Angie), Keri, Eric, and Matt; two sons: Michael and his children, Elise and Nicholas; Scott (Cindy) and Scott’s children: Laci (Armando) Martinez, Levi and Aaron Lauber; 4 great-grandchildren: Zaden, Aali, Kinley Martinez and Lane Lauber; two-step great-grandchildren: Trevor and Taylor Siemons.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
