EXCELSIOR, Minn. | Ralph Daniel Ott Jr., 83, of Excelsior, Minn., formerly of Clear Lake, followed his son Daniel on Aug. 2, 2014.
Preceded in death by his parents Ethyl Howard Ott, Ralph Ott Sr. and Nettie Howard Ott, brothers John (Jack) Ott, Don Ott, daughter Susan Wisner and granddaughter Erica Wisner. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Ott, his sisters Dorothy Short (Bill), Margaret Thompson (Earl), sister-in-law Eunice Ott (Jack), daughters Kathy Saum (Bob), Karen (Randy) Wisner, Laura Reynolds (Jackie Hoff) and much loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces and nephews.
Ralph, a U.S. Army veteran, was a kind and loving husband, father and friend. He passionately followed local sports teams both amateur and professional. He loved golf and playing cards with his lifelong friend Wayne Hill and Wayne~s wife Sally. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his wife and family and for his small acts of kindness.
Memorial service to be held on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Excelsior Covenant Church, 19955 Excelsior Blvd., Excelsior, Minn. Burial to be in Clear Lake at a date yet to be determined.
