MASON CITY | Kevin Swanson, 51, of Mason City, entered God’s Kingdom on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Hospice of North Iowa Inpatient Unit after a brave fight against cancer.
According to his wishes, Kevin~s body was cremated.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Vineyard Community Church located in Willowbrook Mall at 1631 4th St. SW on Saturday, August 9th, from 4-7 p.m. This will be a potluck meal gathering. Bring a dish to share. Kevin especially loved the fellowship of family and friends while sharing food and conversation.
Kevin Robert Swanson was born on May 4, 1963, in St. James, MN, the son of Robert Leslie and E. Louise (Vanderby) Swanson. He was raised in Minnesota and settled in the Mason City area in the early 90’s. He met the love of his life, Tonja Snow. They were married on April 25, 2009.
Kevin’s passion was the computer. If it was broke, he could fix it. He was also a master at making any kind of cheesecake you might want as well as many gourmet dishes.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Tonja; and his fur-ever companion, Manda; his son Michael Johnson (Melissa Dickenson) and child, Tristin of Clear Lake; sister, Connie Huggett of Maple Grove, MN; brother Jerry Boitnott of South St. Paul, MN., and his sons, Clay (Sarah) and Cole (Ashley) Boitnott and daughter, Madison all of Utah: brother- in-law, Steve and Cindi Snow and children: Ryan and Taylor of Swaledale, and Katie of Clear Lake; sister-in-law, Jeanie Harthan and children, John and Luke of Clear Lake; parents-in-law, Harlan and Gayle Snow of Clear Lake; and special daughter, Jessica Hirsch of Charles City. Several cousins also survive.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
