MASON CITY | Stanley E. Steenhard, 61, of Mason City, died Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In Stan~s memory, memorials may be left to the family in care of Gary Steenhard, 15186 180th Street, Rockwell, IA 50469.
Stanley E. Steenhard, son of John and Evelyn (Shadle) Steenhard was born Aug. 2, 1952, in Mason City, Iowa. He attended and graduated from Mason City High School. During his lifetime, Stan drove a delivery truck for a beverage distributor and later worked for the Mason City Sanitation Services, Community Kitchen and Hy-Vee.
His greatest joy was announcing sporting events for both the Mason City Mohawks and the NIACC Trojans for over 25 years.
He is survived by his uncles, George (Merle) Steenhard of Rockwell, and Raymond Shadle of Clinton; aunt, Marjorie Steenhard of Belmond, along with many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John in 2008; mother, Evelyn in 2009; and many aunts and uncles.
