NASHUA | Anita “Anne” Windolf, 74, of Nashua, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Waverly Health Center in Waverly under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.
Funeral services for Anne Windolf will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Nashua. Pastor Darin Cerwinske of Cedar Point Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Nashua.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church Wednesday an hour prior to the service.
Anita Marie Scott Windolf was born July 12, 1939, at Tulsa Okla., the daughter of Edward and Hattie (Barnes) Scott. She graduated in 1957 from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Okla.
On October 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to John E. Windolf at Tulsa, Okla. Anne was a member of Cedar Point Church. Her hobbies included crafting, gardening, reading and exercising.
Living family members include a son, John (Robin) Windolf Jr. of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Cassidy (Michael) Fritts and Nolan Speicher; three great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Sophia and Renee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John on December 31, 1997; son, Kenny Windolf; daughter, Julie Windolf; brother, Edward Scott; sister, Luella Corrough; and half-sister, Jean Ficklin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for the ALS Association or Cedar Point Church.
