NORTHWOOD | Mary Ann Teresa Kelly, 64, Northwood, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her home.
A sharing of memories and scriptural wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. S., Northwood. Visitation will be held following the service until 8 p.m. at the chapel.
Those wishing to give a memorial in her memory may wish to direct memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
According to her wishes, cremation has been accorded.
Mary Ann Teresa Kelly was born on May 4, 1949, in New Hampton, the daughter of Alois and Elizabeth (Halbur) Kruse. She attended school at St. Lucas Catholic Schools, graduating from St. Lucas Catholic High School. Mary Ann also graduated from La’James School of cosmetology.
She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Kelly on Jan. 24, 1970, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City, and to this marriage two children were born, Troy and Heather. After their marriage they lived in Mason City until moving to Northwood in 1975. Mary Ann was an Avon representative in Northwood for 35 years and also worked for Dewey Kruger Music in Northwood.
Mary Ann enjoyed watching QVC, gardening in her early years, loved the Christmas season and visiting with her Avon customers, but her great love and enjoyment was her family and grandchildren.
Mary Ann was a very private person, but when she met someone they were friends for life.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manly.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, William “Bill” Kelly of Northwood; two children, Troy (Keri) Kelly of Lake Mills, and Heather Lloyd and her significant other, Ryan Dybevik of Kensett; her mother, Elizabeth Kruse of St. Lucas, Iowa; her grandchildren, Miranda Stout of Mason City, Felicia, Aaron, and Jordan Kelly of Lake Mills, Madison and Danton Lloyd of Kensett; two brothers, Leon (Shirley) Kruse of St. Lucas, Iowa, and Melvin (Mary) Kruse of Lawler, Iowa; her sister, Wilma (Lance) Mason of Hampton; many nieces, nephews, as well as other extended family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, and many aunts and uncles.
