CLEAR LAKE | Sharon L. Davison, 78, Clear Lake, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at the Concord Care Center in Garner.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, with the Rev. Brian Lund of Zion Evangelical and Reform Church in Garner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Highway 18 West, Mason City.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the chapel.

Those wishing to give a memorial in her memory may wish to consider memorial contribution to Hospice of North Iowa.

Sharon L. Davison was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Nov. 30, 1935 the daughter of Joseph C. and Lavone Storck Davison. She was baptized and reaffirmed the faith of her baptism through confirmation in the Lutheran faith. She attended rural school in Hancock County and graduated from Britt High School in 1955.

Following high school graduation, Sharon worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company at Garner. In 1956, she moved to California and was employed by Proto Tool Company, Rockwell International and retired after 25 years with Boeing Aircraft Corporation. Upon retirement she moved back to Clear Lake and was employed by Ron Weber Associates for several years.

Sharon was a talented seamstress and enjoyed oil painting. She had artistic talents and always had an appreciation for art work. Family events and gatherings were important to her and she always looked forward to them. Sharon was a proud aunt of all her nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Joseph Davison of Mary Esther, Fla., and Willis (Jane) Davison of Garner; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Davison of Garner; her nephews and nieces, Christopher (Kristi) Davison, Wendell (Brenda) Davison, Susan (Jeff) Reising, Sara Gormley, Julia (David) Gillespie, Robert (Jamie) Davison, Victoria Davison, Timothy (Amy) Davison and Jill Davison; her great-nephews and nieces, Drew (Lauren) Davison, Collin (Kristin) Davison, Ryan (Kristen) Davison, Leah, Luke and Taylor Reising, Katherine and Dean Gormley, Jacob, Samara, Sophia, and Willis Gillespie, Ashlee, Christina and Jenna Davison, and August and Emma Davison; great-great- nephews are Preston, Kaleb and Drake Davison; and a great-great-niece, Kennedy Davison, as well as other extended relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Victor Davison; sister, Nancy Davison; and a sister-in-law, Coleen Davison.
