ROCKWELL | Michael Robert Servantez Jr., 58, of Rockwell, died Friday Feb. 14, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, with a priest from Epiphany Parish-St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City, officiating.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, and then one hour before the service Wednesday.

Michael and his twin brother Jule were born July 28, 1955, in Mason City, the sons of Michael R. and Virginia (Branstad) Servantez.

He attended Mason City Schools, graduating in 1974, and then attended tractor trailer school at Kirkwood College, Cedar Rapids.

He worked for several places including Food Service of America, Pepsi Cola and Larson Mfg., where he worked until he retired in 2010 due to health issues.

He was also part owner and operator of Odyssy Limousine services for several years.

He met and married the love of his life Julie Tatum, and together they raised their three daughters.

After the girls left home, they built their new home together in Rockwell where they were planning to retire.

Mike loved first and foremost his family and looked forward to the get togethers.

He enjoyed watching the History Channel, watching western movies, sitting out around the fire pit making s’mores, grilling, giving the grandchildren rides on the lawnmower, working outside and the weekend road trips with Julie.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Julie Servantez, Rockwell; three daughters: Jessica (Chad) Fluhrer, Mason City, Jennifer Servantez and her fiancé, Steve Byerly Jr., Mason City, and Jamie Servantez, Rockwell; three grandchildren: Corbin Fluhrer, Jackson Reich, Cash Reich and a fourth, Tatum Fluhrer, to arrive on Friday, Feb. 21, 2014; parents Michael and Virginia Servantez, Mason City; six brothers: Mark Servantez, Mason City, Kim (Diane) Servantez, Mason City, Victor (Jeanette) Servantez, Mason City, Paul Servantez, Mason City, Jim Servantez, Mason City, and Joe (Debbie) Servantez, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jerry and Sally Tatum, Mason City; brothers-in-law Todd (Jackie) Tatum, Des Moines, and Scott Tatum, Clear Lake, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Jule and his grandparents.
