Margaret May Fraser was born May 14, 1926, in Greene County, Iowa, daughter of George E. and Norma Ruth (Godden) Wildin. She grew up in Kossuth County attending country school and Algona High School.

Margaret was married to Ronald William Fraser on October 20, 1946, in Fairmont, MN. She raised her family on a farm near Cylinder and returned to Algona where she worked at Good Samaritan Nursing Home until her retirement in the early ~80s. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cats, and puzzles. She also enjoyed garage sales, playing board and card games, and she especially loved being with her family.

Margaret M. Fraser died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Kossuth Regional Health Center, Algona, at the age of 87.

She is survived by eight children, Rose (Rod) Culbertson of Creston, Ginny (Ray) Friedrich of Algona, Edward Fraser of Algona, Russ Fraser and his friend Mindy Henning of Forest City, Rita (Gary) Whetzal of Virginia Beach, VA, Joanne Fraser of Algona, Steve Fraser of Albert Lea, MN and Don Fraser of Kiester, MN; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Jim (Noreen) Wildin of Austin, TX, David (Marsha) Wildin of Algona, and Roger Wildin of Algona; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Kathy Fraser; and two great-grandchildren, Luke and Marissa.
