Chuck was born Dec. 30, 1929, in Greene, the son of Lawrence and Ruth (Short) Moore.

On July 10, 1949, he married Mildred “Milly” Randall at First Baptist Church in Osage. To this union two children were born, Butch and Barb. They lived in Osage where Chuck was employed by the Osage Lumber Yard and Carnation Milk. They moved to New Haven in 1961 to start farming. In 1963, they bought a farm west of Riceville. In addition to farming, Chuck had a corn shelling business and worked at Richards’ John Deere in Osage. In 1996, they retired and moved into Riceville. During this time, he helped area farmers.

Chuck and Milly enjoyed 53 years together before Milly’s death in 2002. Chuck then moved to Osage where he picked up and delivered cars for Leading Edge Ford. He enjoyed his coffee time at Hardee’s and his involvement with the Iron Men group. Chuck loved to sing to his grandchildren. The great-grandchildren were his greatest joy.
