GOWRIE | Linda S. Davison Harrison 58, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the United Methodist Church, Gowrie, with Pastor Jane Shepherd officiating. Burial will be at Gowrie Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Gowrie. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Palmer Funeral Home, Gowrie is serving the family.
Linda is survived by her husband Joe; children, Jamie (Josh Wolfe) Barker of Pella, Matthew (Adrienne) Barker of Des Moines, and Collin (Megan) Harrison of Prairie City; four grandchildren, Jackson, Madyson, Carter, and Grant; her mother Nada Davison of Nora Springs; sister Mary Jo (Dave) Rapp of Ankeny; and brother Bruce (Sandy) Davison of Nora Springs.
She was preceded in death by her father Jack Davison.
Linda Sue Davison Harrison was born Jan. 15, 1956, at Mason City. She graduated from Nora Springs/Rock Falls High School, with the class 1974. She then attended Spencer School of Business in Spencer.
On Dec. 21, 1985, she was united in marriage to Joe Harrison at the United Methodist Church in Gowrie. The couple made their home in Gowrie, and Linda worked for Northwestern Mutual Insurance in Fort Dodge for 19 years. Linda was an active member of United Methodist Church, director of Glory Bells, King Ringers Hand Bell Choir in Fort Dodge, Music Carnival Prairie Valley School, the Community Band, the Community Choir, and a member of the local sorority for many years.
