Eli David Harms, 30, of Allison, Iowa, passed away January 1, 2014, at his home in Allison. He was born July 22, 1983, in Mason City, to David and GeorgAnne (Hanlin) Harms. Eli graduated from Allison Bristow High School in 2002. He also attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids.

Eli worked at Steel Ridge Ammunition in Allison. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Allison. Eli enjoyed hunting, especially turkey and pheasant hunting, boating and also enjoyed making people laugh with his great sense of humor. He was an avid Bears, Cubs and Hawkeye fan.

Eli is survived by twin daughters Caydence and Brooklynn Moon of Monona, a son Kinnick David Harms of Waverly, parents David and Crystol Harms of Allison, sister Jani Trotter of Parkersburg, sister Holly (Todd) Henricks of Rockwell, maternal grandmother Nora Hanlin of Kirksville, Missouri, step-sister Amanda (Keith) McCormick of Greene, step-sister Hannah (Shane) Leavens of Greene, and also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother GeorgAnne, paternal grandparents Roland (Bud) and Ferol Harms and maternal grandfather Hubert Hanlin.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the family.

Burial will take place at the Allison Cemetery in Allison, Iowa
