GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas | Vern C. Gobeli, 77, of Grand Prairie died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Chapel, Arlington, Texas.
Memorials contributions may be made to the Grand Prairie Fire Department, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016.
Vern was born July 12, 1936, in Hampton to Forrest and Eva Marie Gobeli. He graduated from Rockford High School in the Class of 1956. On Sept. 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Jan Pinz; together they would cherish 53 years of marriage with two children. Vern retired form Schepp~s Dairy in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Anna Noel Gobeli; brothers, Dale, Dean and Harlan; sister-in-law, Wilma Gobeli; and brothers-in-law, Bob Pinz and Larry Green.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Gobeli; sons, Randy Gobeli and Tracey Gobeli (Julie); grandchildren, Brittany Steel (Hunter), Chelsey Gobeli, Abbie Gobeli and Catherine Gobeli; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Hunter; and many nieces, nephews and extended family in Colorado and Iowa.
