Alexis M. Davis, 22, of Floyd, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City after a lifelong battle with biliary atresia.
A memorial service for Alexis Davis will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City will officiate. Inurnment will be in Olinger Highland Cemetery at Northglenn, CO at a later date.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Alexis Marie Davis was born February 22, 1992, in Denver, Colorado, to parents Michelle (Reynolds) Stark and Kurt Davis. She attended William C. Hinkley High School, Aurora, Colorado and Carrie Lane, Charles City, IA. Alexis was a beautiful young woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved to journal, listen to music, her dogs were her best companions, strawberries were her favorite food, she loved children, and she was very close to her mother. Her motto in life was “Stay Strong”, since birth, she fought her battle with liver disease daily, the family hoped for a liver transplant with no avail. She was the oldest living person with biliary atresia known by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
