Julie Willmert, age 69 of Blue Earth passed away Saturday January 11, 2014 at her home in Blue Earth.
A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday January 18, 2014 at Jacobsen & Winter Funeral Home in Blue Earth with Pastor Lois Abel officiating. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service.
Julie Irene Willmert was born December 20th 1944 to Milton Paschke & Ann (Hovland) Paschke in Blue Earth, MN. Along with her brother Steven they made their home just east of Blue Earth. Julie unexpectedly passed in her home on Saturday, January 11, 2014.
She married Harley Willmert in 1963. Julie’s love of the land kept her busy gardening, sharing her produce with many, and helping with harvest every year. Her strong spirit, sense of humor and devotion to her family carried her through life. As a young woman her beautiful singing & love for playing the piano brought joy to many in her church and at community musical productions. Teaching herself to sew as a teenager, she blessed not only her family, but many friends with her quilts, socks and hand crafted items. Recently, Julie loved teaching classes at Michele~s Sewing & Vacuum in Blue Earth and attending Community Bible Study in Fairmont.
She is survived by her children, Anita Peluso and her husband Gary of Redmond, WA, Jeff Willmert and his wife Deidre of Buffalo Center, IA and Stefan Willmert of Myrtle Beach, SC, and her grandchildren Justin, Logan and his wife Cassie, Amanda and Brandon Willmert.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Steven.
