RUDD | Bonita White, 87, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014.

She was born Feb. 18, 1926, to Louie and Ethel (Marchant) Kollman in Rudd, Iowa. She graduated from Rudd High School in 1944 and married her husband of 47 years, Harold White, on Nov. 17, 1945, in Albert Lea, Minn.

Bonita was employed with various jobs in the area, one of which was the Farmers Mutual Telephone Co. before it became Omnitel Comunications. She loved to bake, garden and bird watch.

She is survived by her sons, Dorryl (Dori) White of Derby, Kan., and Karlin (Kathy) White of Wichita, Kan.; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by: parents; husband, Harold; brothers, Kenneth, Darwin and LaVerne Kollman; and sister, Darlene Messler.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Cochran Mortuary in Wichita, Kan., and a graveside service has been scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd, Iowa.
