Funeral
services for Maurice Flint Muller, 86, of Osage, who died on
Sunday, September 28, 2003, were held on Wednesday, October 1 at
Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Dennis Hanson
and Rev. Roy Ott officiating. Burial was in the Osage ceremony.
Maurice was born June 4, 1917, in Cedar Township near Osage, the
second son of Albert Herman and Mable (Flint) Muller. He
attended rural school and Osage High School and was a member of
the First Congregational Church and was later confirmed and
baptized in Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Osage.
Maurice farmed with his father until his marriage to Adelaide
Lindley in 1939 at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood. They
farmed in the early years of their marriage; He then worked as
an implement salesman for Ben Chatman and Wright John Deere for
ten years. He then returned to farming in 1953 on the home farm
west of Osage. They moved to the St. Ansgar area in 1965 after a
tornado took their farm outside of Osage. They lived south of
Toeterville until their retirement. In 1988, they moved to their
present home in Osage. Maurice was a charter member and officer
of the 4-H Foundation and was a 4-H leader, active in Farm
Bureau, served in several offices in the church council, and
building committees. He was also on the Cedar Valley Electric
Cooperative Board of Directors for 19 years and was a director
of Dairyland Power of La Crosse for 10 years. During Maurice's
retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, working in his vegetable
garden, playing pool with several friends and visiting with
friends and family. Family members and friends have many
beautiful wood pieces of his making. He will be deeply missed by
his family and friends as he was always there for them, to
listen to, to comfort, and to love.
Maurice is survived by his wife Adelaide of Osage; two sons,
Larry Muller and wife Nancy of Osage; Lance Muller of Cedar
Rapids; two daughters, Lorraine Elliott and her husband Larry of
Cedar Falls; Lynne Beyer of Northwood: grandchildren: Lynn Scott
and husband Mark of Lawler; Mike Muller and wife Denee of
Waverly; Larry Muller Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Osage; Mark
Nelson of California.; Jason Elliott and his wife, Lucia of
Cedar Falls; Tonya Sparrow and her husband Jason of Decorah;
Travis Beyer of Mason City; great grandchildren: Stephen, Shanda
and Stacia Scott of Lawler; Katie and Melanie Muller of Waverly;
Bruce and Sydney Elliott of Cedar Falls; Tyler of Wales;
Madison, Maxwell and Benton Sparrow of Decorah; Sophie and Owen
Muller of Osage; brother-in-law Orlando Lindley and wife De
Loris of Nora Springs; five nieces and nephews,
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Elmer and
wife Julia Muller; granddaughter Melissa Lynne Elliott, nephew
Robert Muller.
William (Bill) Williamson

William
Walter Williamson passed away August 24, 2003. A celebration of
Bill's life was held on Saturday, September 27 at O'Connell
Funeral Home, 520 South 11th Street, Hudson, Wisconsin. Burial
was at Roselawn Cemetery in St. Paul.
Bill was born September 28, 1908 in St. Paul, Minnesota. An avid
swimmer, Bill competed for Mechanical Arts High School, the
University of Minnesota and the St Paul Athletic Club. He served
in the Red Cross on the island of Okinawa during World War II.
Bill was self-employed for many years as a real estate broker in
the St. Paul area. He was known for his honesty and integrity in
business as well as his dedication to his family. He will be
missed greatly by those who knew him.
He is survived by a son William, (Bill) Williamson Jr. of
Plymouth; a daughter Sally Fry of Ventura, California. He is
also survived by grandchildren: Kimberly Johnson of Chisago
City, Kristina O'Boyle of Hudson, Wisconsin, Scott Williamson of
Oakdale, Bill Peterson of Ventura, California, Elizabeth
Peterson of Felton, California and Beret Hankinson of
Monticello; as well as 15 great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded
in death by his wife of over 40 years, Maebelle; and his parents
Clarence and Lydia Williamson.

Eugene
Schulze

Funeral services for Eugene Ervin Schulze, 79, of St. Ansgar,
who died on Saturday, October 11, 2003, at Mitchell County
Regional Health Center, Osage, will be held on Thursday, October
16 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, With
Rev. Dr. Elaine Siemsen officiating. Burial will be in the St.
Peter Cemetery, Toeterville.
Eugene was born the son of Ervin and Martha (Holland) Schulze on
June 26, 1924, in Union Township, Mitchell County, Iowa. He
attended schools in Mitchell County. He farmed his entire life.
Eugene was an avid fisherman. He was baptized and confirmed at
St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville, and remained a faithful
member. He married Evelyn Qualley of Lake Mills, Iowa, at the
Little Brown Church, Nashua, on September 1, 1968.
Eugene is survived by a sister, Arlene Anderson of St. Ansgar; a
niece, Connie Rosenberg of St. Ansgar; a nephew, Steve Anderson
of Story City, Iowa; three great nephews and two great nieces; a
uncle, Gene Hofland of St. Ansgar.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Wilmer Dockstader

Graveside
services for Wilmer B. Dockstader, 85, who died on Thursday,
September 25, 2003, were held at Graceland Cemetery in Webster
City, Iowa, October 6, 2003. Burial was in the Grace-land
Cemetery in Webster City, Iowa.
Wilmer was born on September 23, 1918, the first born child of
Caroline and Wilmer L. Dockstader in St. Ansgar, where he lived
until going to college at Ames, Iowa. He married Geraline
Ferrell after graduating from Iowa State University. Serving as
Captain in the US Army Artillery Unit, he was in Germany and
France during World War II. Upon returning home, he entered
graduate school, earning a Master's of Science from University
of Minnesota and a PhD in microbiology and biochemistry from
Washington State University. Questions and inventiveness were
his passion which he used in everyday life and his job
situations. Telfa surgical dressing is still used today which he
invented in his first job. Fleishman's Whiskey and the infrared
ear thermometer are among his many other endeavors. Hunting and
fishing were his recreational joys in the Rocky Mountains to the
plains of the Midwest. Volunteering in many organizations and
church kept him busy serving in several capacities such as usher
and elder. Twenty years in the Bethesda, MD area acquainted him
with many politicians and he became a strong supporter of the
Republican Party. Twenty years in the San Diego area provided
ample time for more service to church and Lions Club activities.
Wilmer is survived by his son, Steven and wife Janet of
Peachtree City, GA; daughter Sue Higgins of Frederick, MD;
daughter Carolyn and husband Carl Prinzing of Frenchtown, MT;
four grandchildren: Chad Stewart of Carlsbad, NM; Byron
Dockstader of Port Chester, NY; Air Force First Lieut. Stewart
and wife Jill in England; and Heather Dockstader in college at
Colgate; eight nieces and nephews.

Herbert F. Feldt Funeral

Funeral services for Herbert Ferdinand Feldt, 87, of St. Ansgar,
who died on Sunday, October 18, 2003, at the St. Ansgar Good
Samaritan Center, were held on Wednesday, October 22 at the St.
John's Lutheran Church, Rock Township, Mitchell County, with the
Rev Wayne Ellingson officiating. Burial was in the St. Ansgar
Cemetery.
Herbert was born October 20, 1915, the son of Gustave and Alrna
(Schmidt) Feldt on a farm in Newburg Township, Mitchell County,
Iowa. He was baptized November 21, 1915, by the Rev. Reinecke.
His sponsors were Mrs. George Glassel, Ferdinand Feldt and
Wilhelm Schmidt. He and his sister Helen were confirmed together
at St. John's Lutheran Church in 1932 and he was a lifelong
member of St. Johns. Herbert attended school in Carpenter. He
lived and worked on the parental farm until 1965, and then
worked for several area farmers while living in St. Ansgar. In
1970, he moved to Carpenter where he lived until 1997 when he
moved to St. Ansgar. He enjoyed fishing with friends up north,
helping at the Senior Saints Center and playing cards. He moved
to Worth Living in June of 2001 and into the St. Ansgar Good
Samaritan Center in December of 2002.
Herbert is survived by sisters, Agnes Severson of St. Ansgar;
Irene Thompson and husband Charles of Austin, Minnesota; a
brother, Arnold and wife Joan of St. Ansgar; sister-in-law
Delores Feldt of St. Ansgar; brother-in-law Fred Peterson of
Albert Lea, Minnesota; 18 nieces and nephews and several great
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Peterson;
brother Wilmer (Barney) Feldt; and brothers-in-law, Orvie
Severson and Leland Ellingson.
