Alfred “Al” Brackey, age 68, of Waukegan, passed away on
Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the University Of Chicago
Hospital.
Funeral Services took place at the March Funeral Home of
Gurnee, on Monday, June 18, at 11:00 a.m. Interment was
private. Visitation was from 5-8:00 p.m., on Sunday, June
17, and from 10-11:00 a.m., on Monday, June 18, at the Marsh
Funeral Home of Gurnee.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, avid bowler with
a history of multiple 300 games, took up golf late in his
life and became a pretty good golfer, loved sports. After
his retirement, he was a dedicated employee at the Marsh
Funeral Home, he was the most generous individual to
everyone he had ever met.
Beloved husband, of Dee of 46 years; loving father of Cindy
Brackey-Wurl and Marcia (Brian) Erker; special grandfather
of Jessica Langosch; dear brother of Arlys Reeder, Garvin
Brackey, Barb (Dick) Anderson, Mary Lee Brackey and Tom
(Kathy) Brackey; and many nieces and nephews.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and
Bernadetta Brackey.
