Violet Viola Levang
Violet Viola Levang,
87, of 215 S. 3rd St., Clear Lake, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at the
Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa. Services were held
Friday, April 2, at the Open Bible Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Will
Hunsaker. Family suggests memorials to the Violet Levang Memorial Fund.
Violet was born Dec. 26, 1917 in Melrose, Minn. the daughter of Arthur
and Flossie (Coe) Cheney. She graduated from Melrose High School and the
University of Minnesota.
She worked at the Palmer House in the Twin Cities. She met her former
husband at a Rival Meeting in the Twin Cities.
Violet married Eli Levang in June of 1946. They lived on a farm west of
Fertile, Iowa. He died in 1982 and she continued to live on the farm
until 1986. She then moved to Clear Lake to live.
Violet worked for Ritter Nursing Home in Clear Lake from 1946-1968. She
then cooked for the Fertile School until 1976. She was known as a
grandmother to many children. She babysat in her home. She always put
others before herself and was a very caring person.
One of her goals in life was to read through the Bible every year. She
was an active member of the Open Bible Church, Clear Lake.
Violet is survived by her son, Nathan Levang, and his fiancée, Kim
Anderson, Clear Lake; grandchildren, Marie Levang, Fertile, Iowa, Laura
Swingen, Fertile, Stephanie Daugard and her husband, Neil, Britt, Iowa
and Kara Swingen, Fertile; and by a sister, Lilah Ruehmann, Little Rock,
Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and one brother,
Arthur Cheney.

Hopkey Lekwa
Lila Hopkey Lekwa,
79, of 221 South Fourth St., Clear Lake, died Saturday, April 3, 2004 at
the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake. Funeral services will be Wednesday,
1:30 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Derik
Yarian and Dick Scott, Lay Assistant, at Zion Lutheran Church
officiating. Interment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Family suggests
memorials to Lila Lekwa Memorial Fund.
Lila was born May 4, 1923 near Belmond, Iowa the daughter of Dan and
Sadie (VanBuskirk) Fjetland. She attended grade school at Belmond. She
graduated from Clarion High School. She married Harvey C. Hopkey June 1,
1940. They farmed southwest of Alexander, Iowa until 1967, they then
moved to Clear Lake where she worked at Johnson's Paint and Gift. She
later went to work for Orkin Exterminating in Mason City and retired
from there after 20 years. Her first husband, Harvey, died in 1985. She
married Glen Lekwa, of Clear Lake, August 18, 1990 and they made their
home in Clear Lake.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and went to women's circle. Her
greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed
bowling, boating, going to little league games and doing puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, Glen Lekwa, Clear Lake; one daughter,
Sharon (Raymond) Barlow of Columbus, Neb.; one son, David (Carol) Hopkey
of Newton, Iowa; four grandchildren, Bradley (Amy Sue) Hopkey, Des
Moines, Iowa, Robyn (Jeff) Schmidt, Des Moines, Kimberly (Darin) Berger,
Park Rapids, Minn., Gregory (Faith) Barlow, Lincoln, Neb.; seven
great-grandchildren; five brothers, Eldon Fjetland, Riceville, Iowa,
Lorin (Marcella) Fjetland, Belmond, Iowa, Larry (Ruby) Fjetland, LeRoy,
Minn., Donald (Ilalee) Fjetland, Riceville, Danny (Ivadelle) Fjetland,
Riceville; four sisters, Donna (Merlin) Johnson, Meservey, Iowa, Vivian
(Delbert) Pals, Meservey, Judy Peil, Alexander, Iowa and Betty Pollard,
Osage, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter; one
infant brother; one brother, Darold Fjetland and her first husband,

Ann Marie Harris,
86, of 17475 France St., Omaha, Neb., formerly of Clear Lake, died
Thursday, April 1, 2004 at her home. Funeral services were held Tuesday,
April 6, at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dean Hess
officiating. Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery. Family suggests
Memorials to Opportunity Village.
Ann was born Sept. 8, 1917 in Howard County, Neb. the daughter of Clyde
and Johanna (Petersen) Jacobsen.
She married Dwayne L. Harris in Omaha, Neb.
Ann started her own company as a consumer research analyst, which she
operated for fifteen years.
Ann is survived by her husband, Dwayne L. Harris, Omaha; a daughter, Kay
A. Wise and her husband, Dr. Kenneth, Omaha; her son, Ron Harris, Clear
Lake; four grandchildren, Kristl M. Finnes, Stillwater, Minn., Kenton G.
Wise, Omaha, Sherri and Cindy Knutson, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; three
great-grandchildren, Carlee Knutson, Kennedi Finnes and Kayleigh Finnes,
and two brothers, Dale Jacobsen, Firth, Neb. and Gene Jacobsen and his
wife, Marilyn, North Platt, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James L. Harris;
grandson, James L. Harris Jr.; and three brothers, Glen, Byron and
Calvin Jacobsen. Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in

Duitscher
Joel Duitscher,
79, of 1310 Village Rd, Clear Lake, died Friday, April 2, 2004 at the
Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa. Memorial service
was Tuesday, April 6, at the Clear Lake Christian Church, Clear Lake
with the Rev. Mark Young officiating. Inurnment was in Memorial Park
Cemetery, Mason City. Military honors were by the Clear Lake V.F.W. The
family suggests memorials of their choice in memory of Joel Duitscher.
Joel was born in Clarion, Iowa the son of Joe and Carrie (Petersen)
Duitscher. He graduated from Clarion High School in 1942. He served in
the United States Army during WWII.
Joel married Barbara McCutcheon on Oct. 4, 1947 in Goldfield, Iowa. He
farmed in the Clarion area for fourteen years. He managed the Grundy
Center Cooperative Elevator before transferring to Des Moines, Iowa,
where he was in grain merchandising. He retired in Clear Lake.
He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed gardening, woodworking and spending
time around the lake and especially being with his family and
grandchildren.
He was a member of Clear Lake Christian Church and Clear Lake V.F.W.
Joel is survived by his wife, Barbara Duitscher, Clear Lake; two
daughters, Jody Babinat and her husband, Tom, Grundy Center, Iowa and
Patricia Larsen and her husband, Ralph, Clear Lake; five grandchildren,
Shane Babinat, Shawna Babinat and her fiancée, Scott Kuiper, Keri
Babinat, Kelsey Larsen and Bryan Larsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Donald, three
other brothers, Delmar, Harold and Ray and an infant granddaughter,
Kelly Jo Babinat.

Purviance
Thelma Purviance,
89, of Clear Lake, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at Muse Norris
Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa. According to her wishes, she
has been cremated. A memorial service will be held April 10, 10:30 a.m.
at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake.
Richard Scott, Lay Assistant of Zion Lutheran Church, will be
officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials
may be given to Hospice of North Iowa in her name in lieu of flowers.
Thelma was born March 6, 1914 in Clear Lake, the daughter of David and
Catherine (Mier) Stricker. She graduated from Plymouth High School in
1932 and attended Iowa Teachers College. She taught school in Lincoln
Township for four years. She married Jesse Purviance on December 24,
1936 at the Trinity Lutheran parsonage in Mason City. They farmed in
Lincoln Township 44 years and moved to Clear Lake in 1981. She was a
member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also belonged to the DD Club.
Thelma enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading books. When she was young she
was addicted to fishing. "Good food has always graced my table; my home
has been a warm and happy place." She enjoyed the beauty of flowers and
the song of the bird.
Thelma is survived by her three children, JoAnn Kaasa and her husband,
Merwyn "Bud", Hanlontown, Iowa, and their children Tim Kaasa and wife,
Alice, Joel Kaasa and his wife, Teresa, Doy Gilbert and husband, Chad;
Dennis Purviance and his wife, Joyce, Ft. Worth, Texas, and their
children Kati Bewley and husband, Ronald, Jesse Purviance and wife,
Monica, John Purviance and wife, Kristie, James Purviance and wife,
Stephanie; and Linda Matson and her husband, Jon, Clear Lake, and their
children, Shelly Benton and husband, Doug, Mindy Zaruba and husband,
Tim, Marcy Bitner and husband, David; seventeen great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Dave Stricker Jr. and his wife, Marie, Mason City, Ralph
Stricker and his wife, Jerry, Mason City, and Harold Stricker and his
wife, Mary Ann, Orchard, Iowa.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Leah Hage;
brothers, Ronald and Ben Stricker, and an infant great-granddaughter.

Sierra Ann Penning,
newborn daughter of Jeffrey and Teresa (Oleson) Penning, died April 5,
2004 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames, Iowa. Graveside services
were Tuesday, April 13, at the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake with the
Rev. Jan Burnett of Clear Lake United Methodist Church officiating.

Sierra is survived by her parents, Jeffrey and Teresa Penning, Clear

"Jim" Cookman
James "Jim" Cookman,
84, of 1010 South Third Street, Clear Lake, died Saturday, April 10,
2004 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral
services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, at Ward Van
Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 North 4th Street, Clear Lake, with the Rev.
Ron Stein of the First Baptist Church of Mason City, officiating. Burial
will be at Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors by the VFW
Post #4868 of Clear Lake.
James LeRoy, the son of Leslie and Mary (Keys) Cookman, was born March
20, 1920 in Mason City, Iowa. He received his education from the Mason
City High School. While in high school, he played football and baseball
for the Mason City Mohawks. He was an All State football player on the
1938, State Championship team and was also an All State baseball player
and Golden Gloves Boxer. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Gribben
on April 26, 1941 in Mason City. Jim served his country in the United
States Navy from 1942 - 1945. He participated in D-Day and several major
European campaigns during World War II. He returned to the Mason City
area and worked for Betsy Ross for eight years and then for Butter Top
Bakery for thirty-two years. He moved to Clear Lake in 1956.
Jim was a member of the River City Softball Hall of Fame. He enjoyed
spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren,
woodworking, traveling, boating, and boxing.
Jim is survived by his children, Linda Kirkey and her husband, Tom, of
Farmington, Minn., Mike Cookman of Clear Lake and Pat Cookman of
Knoxville, Iowa; two sisters, Bea Johnson of Mason City, and Elizabeth
Schnarr and her husband, Bob, of Morton, Ill., and one brother, Dan
Cookman of Clear Lake. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mary
Kirkey-Olson of Rosemount, Minn., Jim Kirkey of Minneapolis, Minn., Todd
Cookman of Clear Lake, and Tanya Sue Cummings of Austin, Minn.; five
great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine; his parents; one
brother, Bill; one brother-in-law, Kenny Johnson; one sister-in-law,
Veronica Cookman, and one nephew, Tom Johnson.

Harry LaVern Christensen
Harry LaVern Christensen,
91, of 625 14th Ave N, Clear Lake, died Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the
Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa. Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday April 15, at St. John Lutheran
Church, rural Garner, Iowa with the Rev. Carl Hedberg officiating.
Interment will be at St. John Cemetery, rural Garner. Memorials can be
made to Hospice of North Iowa or St. John Lutheran Church.
LaVern was born the son of John and Myrtle Mae (Giles) Christensen, June
24, 1912, at Alexander, Iowa.
LaVern married Sena Christians on April 4, 1937 at Immanuel Reformed
United Church of Christ, Klemme, Iowa. He was a farmer and carpenter
until retiring in 1976. His hobbies were fishing, traveling, woodworking
and playing cards.
LaVern is survived by his wife, Sena, of Clear Lake; a daughter, Diana
Glidden, of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Terri (Denny) Van Hemert; and
Jeffrey (Kitty) Glidden; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Caitlyn; a
son, Kenton Christensen of Princeton, Minn.; grandchildren Kurtis
(Michelle) Christensen, Kiley Christensen and Kindolyn (Jason Spears)
Christensen; great-grandchildren Autumn, Summer, Moriah and Morgan; and
many nieces and nephews.
LaVern was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Sue; his parents; four
brothers, Bill, George, James and Clarence Christensen and four sisters,
Mae Meyers, Inez Meyers, Elsi Klang and Eve Erikson.

Orville S. Johnson,
83, Clear Lake, died Sunday, April 18, 2004 at Muse-Norris Hospice
Inpatient Unit, Mason City, Iowa with his family surrounding him. A
funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 21, 11 a.m. at
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City. The Rev.
Derik Yarian, of Zion Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, will be
officiating. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Highway
122 W., Mason City. Military Honors will be presented by Mason Veterans
Memorial Association. Memorials may be given to the Orville S. Johnson
Memorial Fund.
Orville was born Jan. 21, 1921 in Scarville, Iowa. He attended schools
in Mason City. Orville served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Following
the war he came back to Mason City. He married Grace Anway. He worked as
a mechanic and later for O'Brien Moving and Storage both in Mason City.
Orville enjoyed working on cars, dancing at the V.F.W., sight seeing,
going to parks in Mason City and being with family and friends. He was a
member of the Mason City V.F.W.
Orville is survived by a son, Arnold Johnson, Pennsylvania; brother,
Larry Johnson and Sherri, Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Evelyn Vonhagen and
her husband, Oliver, Northwood, Iowa and several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; six brothers,
Wayne, Norman, Clifford, Vernon, Kenneth and Leonard and two sisters,
Elaine and Pearl.

Leonard Tatro
John Leonard Tatro,
54, 10284 300th St., Mason City, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 20,
2004 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Funeral services were held
Saturday, April 24, at the United Methodist Church, Clear Lake. The Rev.
Jan Burnett and the Rev. Jeff Ungs officiated. Interment was held at the
Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the John Tatro Memorial
Fund.
John was born April 30, 1949 in Concordia, Kan., the son of Leonard and
Dorothy (Barker) Tatro. His family moved to Mason City when John was
young. He attended and graduated from Mason City High School in 1968 and
went to NIACC for one year. John married Jean Prestholt June 20, 1976 at
the United Methodist Church, Clear Lake. To this union one son, Chuck,
was born. John worked at Armour and Company and then Opportunity Village
for 20 years.
Boy Scouts were very important to John. He was a former Scout Master and
Assistant Scout Master for Troop 30 of Clear Lake. His hobbies included
hunting, fishing, wood-working, the Boy Scouts and mountain hiking. He
enjoyed spending time at the Boundary Waters and anything to do with
nature.
John was a lifetime member of NRA and the Boy Scouts. He was a member of
the St. Andrews Episcopal Church of Clear Lake.
John is survived by his wife, Jean Tatro, Mason City; his son, Chuck
Tatro, Greeley, Colo. and his special friend, Heather Pitner, Loveland,
Colo.; John's parents, Leonard and Dorothy Tatro, Concordia, Kan.; one
sister, Jolene Springer and her husband, Harold, Hampton, Iowa; three
brothers, Jack Tatro and his wife, Gerda, Jamestown, Kan., Jeff Tatro
and his wife, Drenna, Concordia, Kan., Jim Tatro and his children, Andy,
Eli, and Melissa, Fort Collins, Colo. and several other nieces and
nephews.
John was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Tatro.

"Louie" Lugg
Lloyd O. "Louie" Lugg,
78, of 4 3rd St NW, Mason City, died Monday, April 19, at Mercy Medical
Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, at St. Paul Lutheran
Church, Mason City, with the Rev. Paul D. Finger, officiating. Burial
was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, with full military honors by
the Clear Lake V.F.W. Post 4868.
Memorials may be left to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 329 East State
Street, Mason City, in Louie's honor.
Lloyd O. Lugg, the son of Ray and Anna (Dierich) Lugg, was born Aug. 2,
1925 in Parkers Prairie, Minn. He was adopted by his aunt and uncle,
Charles and Julia Lugg, at two weeks of age. He was baptized and
confirmed at the Mona Lutheran Church in Mona. He attended school in
Osage and Mona, graduating from Lyle, Minn. After graduation he worked
on a ranch in Fort Denton, Mont. Louie entered the United States Army in
December 1944. His training lead him to Texas. Home on leave, he married
Dorothy Norcross on April 17, 1945. Upon returning from his leave, he
was relocated to the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged as a
tech sergeant in November 1946.
Upon returning from the service he worked for John Deere in Waterloo,
Iowa. He later moved back to Mason City where he drove truck for 35
years, retiring in 1987. Louie enjoyed spending time with his family,
fishing trips to Canada, and wintering with Dorothy in Texas.
Louie was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Mason City and the
Clear Lake V.F.W.
Louie is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Mason City; two sons, Steven
Lugg and his wife, Paulette, Ventura, Iowa, Dan Lugg and his wife,
Doris, Rockford, Iowa; two grandchildren, Brian Lugg, Cedar Falls, Iowa
and Sarah Lugg, Ventura. Also surviving him are three sisters, Irene
Baird, Boulder City, Nev., Edna Merriman, Houston, Texas, Jeanette
Riley, McAllen, Texas; one brother-in-law, Elmo Vivian, Weslaco, Texas;
one sister-in-law, Bettye Lugg, Mercedes, Texas, and several nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by both sets of parents; one sister, Adeline
Vivian; two brothers, Arthur and Raymond; one sister-in-law, Mae Lugg,
and three brothers-in-law.
Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, was in charge of
arrangements.

Godden
Jean L. Godden,
78, of Clear Lake, died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at Good Shepherd
Health Center in Mason City. Funeral Services were held Monday, April
26, at the First Congregational Church, Clear Lake, with Pastor Thomas
Healey officiating. Interment was at the Clear Lake Cemetery.
Jean was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Algona, Iowa the daughter of Loyal and
Fern (Andrews) Young. She graduated from Algona High School in 1943 and
married Lester Godden, her high school sweetheart, on Sept. 27, 1943.
Jean worked at Camp Headquarters in Camp Cooke, California until her
husband went overseas. She then returned to Algona and worked at
Security State Bank until 1948 when she and her husband moved to Clear
Lake.
Jean will always be remembered for her warmth, deep faith, joyous laugh,
her knitting, painting, golf, and her devotion to family and friends.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Les Godden of Clear Lake; her
daughter, Doxandra Weber and her husband, Ron, Nevada, Iowa; her son,
Kurt and his wife, Angela, Sterling Heights, Mich.; a brother, Dixon
Young and his wife, Shirley, Algona; a brother, Keith Young and his
wife, Marilyn, of Waterloo, Iowa and four loving granddaughters, Kirsten
and Meesha Weber of Nevada and Holly and Stephanie Godden of Sterling
Heights.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Virginia "Ginni" Overgaard
Virginia "Ginni" Overgaard,
61, of 1201 East Lake Street, Ventura, died Saturday, April 24, 2004 at
the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, after a year long
battle with cancer. Memorial services were held Tuesday, April 27, at
the Ventura United Methodist Church. Inurnment was at Ventura Cemetery.
Memorials may be left to the Virginia Overgaard Memorial Fund.
Virginia Lucille, "Ginni", the daughter of Gordon and Perle (Boutilier)
Schubert, was born March 10, 1943 in Britt, Iowa. She attended Ventura
High School, graduating in 1961. She married John Overgaard on Sept. 23,
1961 at the Ventura United Methodist Church. Ginni worked at the Harbor
Inn for 31 years. She owned the business for the last 15 of those years.
She enjoyed the restaurant business, and was always a gracious host to
her patrons. She met so many wonderful people who became very special
friends.
Ginni was a member of the Ventura United Methodist Church. She played in
several area bridge clubs, which was her passion. She loved flower
gardening and bird watching, and spent countless hours enjoying both of
theses hobbies. She also traveled to several countries abroad, as well
as throughout the United States. Ginni's greatest joys were her seven
grandchildren. She attended countless school activities, sporting
events, concerts, and grandparents, days. She will be fondly remembered
and loved by these children. She was a wonderful and very special
grandmother.
Ginni is survived by her husband, John, of Ventura; four children, Renee
Denny and her husband, Steve, Garner, Iowa, Bob Overgaard and his wife,
Jamie, Lakewood, Colo., Roxanne Anderson and her husband, Allen,
Williams, Iowa, and Ryan Overgaard and his friend, Monica Torkelson,
Garner and seven grandchildren, Jordan, Summer, Andrea, and Faith
Anderson, Tanner and Tyler Denny, and Taylor Pesicka. Also surviving are
her father, Gordon Schubert and his wife, Donna, of Algona, Iowa; two
brothers, Jim Schubert and his wife, Gretchen, Huntley, Mont., Ronald
Schubert, South Bend, Ind., one sister, Rebecca Schubert and her
husband, Bob Claubaugh, Taylors Falls, Minn., as well as several
cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Perle.

84, of 100 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, Iowa passed away unexpectedly

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 3, at Zion
Lutheran Church, 112 N. Fourth St., in Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dean
Hess officiating. There will be 3 p.m. graveside service Monday at the
Gowrie Cemetery, Gowrie, Iowa.
Friends may greet the family from 7 - 8 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at the
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.
Beatrice M. Hanson was born Aug. 2, 1919, the daughter of Adolph and
Esther (Pearson) Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran
faith, and was a graduate of the American Institute of Business in Des
Moines.
She married Ted Saucke on June 28, 1942, at Zion Lutheran Church in
Gowrie. They owned a retail hardware business in Clear Lake for many
years. As an executive legal secretary, local attorneys Thorkel Sondrol,
Sr., Thorkel Sondrol, Jr., Mark Schoeller and most recently, Matt Berry,
employed her. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, and
belonged to Praise Circle.
She was humbled when being honored as Mother of the Year in 1972 and as
Legal Secretary of the Year in 1980. Her hobbies included being Ted's
Cessna co-pilot, riding scooters and being a test cook for Betty Crocker
Kitchens.
Her surviving family includes daughters Linda (Tom) Sage, of Mason City,
Lois (Serge) Saucke-Lacelle, of Montreal/Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, and
Rhonda Saucke, of Clear Lake. Her grandchildren are Renay (Tom) Nestvedt,
of Mason City, Matt (Jessy) Sage, of Chicago, Ill. and Erin, Amy and
Eric Saucke-Lacelle, all of Montreal/Sherbrooke. Tyler and Justis
Nesatvedt of Mason City are her great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Rosalie (Earl) Grindheim, of
Richfield, Minn., and Florine (Ed) Gilbertson, of Minneapolis, Minn. and
many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and most recently her husband,
Ted, in March, 2004.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her dear friends and
family members who over the last several years have helped her,
supported her and kept her and her family in their prayers.
The family requests memorials may be given to the Beatrice Saucke
Memorial Fund.
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, was in charge of
arrangements.
