G. Carlton Dahlgren, 86,
of Clarion, died on Thursday, October 10, 2002, at the USA Health Care Center,
Clarion.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 14, at the Holmes Baptist Church.
Rev. Pat Odle officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Burial was in the Evergreen
Cemetery, Clarion. The Willim Funeral Home of Clarion was in charge of
the arrangements.
G. Carlton Dahlgren, was born on May 2, 1916 in Dayton Township, the son of
Carl A. and Eva Hardy Dahlgren. He attended rural schools in Wright County,
graduating from the Clarion High School, and went on to Trade School in Chicago
to study electronics. He was employed in the aircraft industry in San
Diego, California.
After World War II, he returned home to farm with his parents and brother,
Albert. He also was an employee of Cyanamid and Farm Service until his
retirement. He continued to live on the farm, enjoying gardening, his many
flowers and other hobbies. For the last three years he lived at the Southtown Apartments, moving to
the USA Health Care Center in July.
He was a member of the Holmes Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sisters, Viola Fisher and husband, Joe and Elaine
Brinkman and husband, Duane; brother, Albert Dahlgren and wife, Mary Jane;
six nephews and nine nieces; 29 great-nephews and nieces; 15 great-great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.
Carlton was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Verna Lofton;
brother, Melvin Dahlgren; and nephew, Michael Dahlgren.

Jeff Paul Steen
October 17, 2002
Jeff Paul Steen, 27, of Clarion, died on Friday, October 11,
2002.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 15, at the United Methodist
Church, Clarion. Rev. Pat Odle and Rev. Mike Druhl officiated at the 11:00 a.m.
service. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. The Willim Funeral Home of
Clarion was in charge of the arrangements.
Jeff Paul Steen, was born on July 14, 1975 in Waterloo, the son of David and
Kathy Steen. He attended school in Clarion and Eagle Grove, graduating in
1994. He then attended college in Fort Dodge.
Jeff was involved with the Special Olympics as a competitor, winning many
awards and medals at the Games. He continued to be involved with the Special
Olympics even after he was no longer a competitor. Jeff loved sports,
especially basketball which could be witnessed by everyone as he always had
a basketball tucked under his arm or was sharing his wisdom on the
basketball court in the park.
Jeff was employed at Clarion Super Foods where he really enjoyed his work
and the people he worked with, often times showing up at the store to see if
they needed any help even on his days off.
Jeff was also a member of Unlimited Opportunities and the Clarion United
Methodist Church.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Kathy of Clarion; father, David; special
friend, Donna Turner; grandmothers, Ruth Sheehan of Clarion and Virginia
Steen; and many aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Paul Sheehan and Richard Steen;
cousin, Amanda Sheehan; and aunt, Linda Sheehan.

Rosemary Deimerly
October 17, 2002
Rosemary Deimerly,
58, of Chicago, Illinois, died on Friday, October 11, 2002, following a brief
illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, October 16, at the St. John's
Catholic Church, Clarion. Rev. James Miller of Hampton officiated. Burial
followed in the St. John's Cemetery, Clarion. The Willim Funeral Home, Clarion was
in charge of the arrangements.
Rosemary Deimerly, was born on May 18, 1944 in Clarion, the daughter of
Raymond and Margaret Deimerly. She grew up in Wall Lake Township, attending
the Wall Lake #2 School. Following graduation from the Clarion High School in 1962,
she attended the Webster City Junior College.
In 1966, Rosemary moved to Chicago where she attended the Patricia Stevens
Career College, majoring in fashion merchandising. She began her career with
Carson Pirie Scott & Company where she was a cosmetics buyer for 19 years.
During the next few years she was a territory manager for Charles of the
Ritz and Stendahl Companies and an independent representative for various
cosmetic companies. Since 1999 and until her death, Rosemary was the
cosmetics department manager for Saks Fifth Avenue, Old Orchard Mall,
Skokie, Illinois.
Rosemary is survived by her parents; three sisters, Suzanne Deimerly of
Clarion, Trish Perry and husband, Kent of Ankeny and Joan Dougherty and
husband, Dennis of Belmond; brother, Bob Deimerly and wife, Kathy of
Clarion; seven nieces and nephews; one grandnephew; and one grandniece.

Wilbert Louis Busse

Wilbert Louis Busse, 85, of Clarion, died on
Wednesday, October 23, 2002, at the USA Health Care Center, Clarion. The Willim
Funeral Home of Clarion is in charge of the arrangements.
Wilbert will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a
later date at the Willim Funeral Home.
Wilbert L. Busse, was born on December 1, 1916 at Waverly, the son of Henry
and Minnie Busse. He attended rural school. He earned his high school
credits later at the Eagle Grove Community College. He also started his own
business, doing electrical wiring and repairing starters.
Wilbert served in the U.S. Army for three years in the South Pacific. He
delivered gasoline to the military planes in that area.
On February 25, 1947, Wilbert Busse and Arletta Leege were united in
marriage in Alice, Texas. The couple lived on a farm owned by his father in
Bremer County until 1952. The couple then moved to Clarion with their two
daughters.
He is survived by his wife, Arletta of Clarion; and two daughters, Paula
Barnett of Chino, California and Charlotte Busse of Austin, Texas; also two
nieces, one from Fargo, North Dakota and one from Waverly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Harold; and one
sister-in-law, Viola Busse.
